What Is the Pilot?
The pilot gives UK, Irish, and Danish organisations hands-on access to ROOTED for up to 7 days. You will receive a pre-configured device with ROOTED ready to use. No installation, no setup, and no technical knowledge required. Everything runs locally on the device, so your financial data and emissions records never leave your hands.
Your participation helps build the evidence base that local-first AI tools can deliver real climate action. That evidence directly supports funding applications to scale ROOTED and keep it free for SMEs, sole traders, charities, and non-profits.
Who Can Apply?
The pilot is open to:
- SMEs, sole traders, and non-profits based in the United Kingdom, Ireland, or Denmark
- Organisations with fewer than 249 people
- Anyone willing to provide honest feedback via a short survey at the end of the trial

What You Will Get
- Full access to ROOTED, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions tracking, AI-powered Q&A, compliance reports, action planning, and the Communications Coach
- A pre-configured device shipped to you, ready to go out of the box
- Complete data privacy: all processing happens locally, and the device is securely wiped after the pilot period
- Direct input into the tool's development as a founding cohort member

What Has Changed Since the Beta?
Since the public beta launch in February, development has continued on:
- Improved multi-country emission factor coverage (UK DESNZ, Ireland SEAI, Denmark)
- Streamlined onboarding experience for first-time users
- Expanded sector-specific guidance for charities, arts organisations, sole traders, schools, government suppliers, and accountants
